Third Release

Thank you all for the nice comments. :o) In return, here is the next chapter of Only You. (Well, actually, the next half-chapter. The full chapter is really long, so I split it in half.) Enjoy!

OnlyYou_v03c010a (File Factory)

Unfortunately, I had rather more difficulties with the translation this time. There were several parts where I wasn't sure what they were saying . . . :o/ Well, I can only hope that I wasn't too far off, and that the intended meaning comes across somehow.

And on that subject . . . ;o)

First Release!

Here's the eighth chapter of Only You! According to Baka-Updates Manga, this chapter has already been released by Romance Alley, but I wasn't able to find it, so I hope it isn't too rude of me to release it again.

Comments, suggestions, complaints, and so on, are always welcome.

Introduction

I've been reading manga for years, and have always wanted to do some scanlating of my own. And so here we are! I'll be starting with Only You, by Suetsugu Yuki, mainly because the language is relatively easy to understand, and because it seems to have been abandoned by the other groups that were scanlating it. Shallow considerations aside, I have of course enjoyed reading the manga so far, and would recommend giving it a try, especially if you like shoujo manga.

About Snuffkin Scans, it is a one-person group for the present. I get the raw scans (already cleaned and of good quality) from the Rawscans.com forum, and do the translating and typesetting myself. I've been leaving the sound effects in Japanese, not just because it spares me a lot of time and effort, but also because I think it's nice to see what they looked like originally. Besides, it's good katakana practice for those learning Japanese. :o)

Note that, like most other scanlators, I have other hobbies and responsibilities, so the releases will likely be sporadic at best. Also, especially now, being a complete newbie at this and still considerably shaky when it comes to the Japanese language, I can't guarantee that the scanlations will be any good. If you notice any errors or have any suggestions, please feel free to contact me, so that I can make improvements.

Important: If you can understand written Japanese (with furigana), and if you would be willing to proofread my translations, please send an e-mail to snuffkinscans[at]gmail.com or leave a comment here. I would be very grateful, and I'm sure everyone else would be happy to have more accurate scanlations.
